The Solvang School Education Foundation's mission is:
To ensure that every student at Solvang School has access to a comprehensive education for the whole child – challenging their brains, cultivating their creative spirits and promoting physical wellbeing.
As such, this newly merged foundation supports all Solvang students by ensuring they can access meaningful field trips, enrichment activities and the arts! Thank you SSEF!
Students in 5th grade attend Outdoor School in the mountains near the school. while they are close by, they are in a whole new world of nature and adventure. In addition to the camp experience of a lifetime, they also learn about the world around them, how to work together, and some silly campfire songs. The highlight of the camp is definitely the Courage Walk at night. We are proud of our Vikings as they gather up their courage and bravely blaze the trail on their own under only the starlight peeking through the trees.
