Solvang School District is proud to host the Santa Ynez Valley's only Spanish Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program. Our program was established in 2018 and has added one grade each year. This year, our first cohort of Dual Immersion Students will enter 5th grade and we are excited to add this new grade to our program.
The program, which follows a research proven 90/10 model aims to:
Develop fluency in two languages
Improves critical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem solving
Increases cultural competence
Enhanced college and career opportunities
If you have an incoming kindergartner interested in this program for the 2024-2025 school year, please remember to look for an interest survey in January of this next year.
