Effective July 1, 2023 PTO and SAM have merged to form one stronger, more effective 501(c)3 nonprofit called Solvang School Education Foundation (SSEF). Many Valley families will remember that name fondly, and now we are breathing new life into those roots to encompass an even bigger dream for our children and our community. SSEF will work with our school's administration to maintain the high standard of arts and music curriculum our school currently offers, while also ensuring that every child has access to all enrichment trips and programs.

To ensure that every student at Solvang School has access to a comprehensive education for the whole child – challenging their brains, cultivating their creative spirits and promoting physical wellbeing.

What We Fund:

• Art/Music/Drama Teacher Salaries - $75,000 of this cost

• 8th Grade CIMI and 5th Grade Outdoor School Science Camps - $60,000

• Teacher Supplies - $4,000 (each teacher gets $200 for classroom expenses)

• General School Field Trips - $4,000

• LC Good For You Cart & UC Good Behavior Gift Cards

• Staff “Back-to-School” Lunch in August

• Ice Cream Social in August

• Upper Campus Ice Cream Party in November

• Read-A-Thon Parties

• Color Run in April

• School Carnival in April

• Show of Shows in March

Our goal is for every student at Solvang School to feel included, challenged, inspired and appreciated. Help us raise $210,000 this year to fund all these important programs that make our school such a unique and special place.
