Welcome from the Administration
On behalf of the Solvang
School District, we would like to welcome you to the 2009/2010 school year. The
information offered in this handbook will help you understand the educational
programs, discipline policies, dress code, extra-curricular activities and
other policies that make up the Solvang School District.
It is our desire to provide
for your child the finest educational environment possible. Programs are designed to address the
academic, social, and emotional needs of all students at Solvang School
District.
The education of children is
a responsibility that must be shared by teachers and parents alike. Parents play an extremely powerful role in a
child's success and we actively solicit your support. Together, we will continue to foster
integrity, dedication, achievement, and perseverance - which ensures success
for every child.
You are encouraged to share
your talents and resources, whether it is in your child's classroom, on campus,
or by volunteering within the Solvang community. By working together, we can truly build the
future.
If you would like to be an
"active" part of the Solvang School District's team, please contact
the Parent Teacher Organization or set up an appointment with us to share your
ideas.
